The specs are decent on that unit, if it actually works at those specs
(sometimes manufacturers exaggerate). A 120V unit that can clean cut
3/4" is something I have a hard time believing especially at that
price. My Hypertherm can't do that and its 220V and a LOT more money.
I have the hypertherm really only because I can walk downtown and get
parts anytime for it. I think that the is primary reason to stay with
the major name brands when it comes to welders and plasma cutters, its
much easier to go into town and get the consumables on a weekend then it
is to have to order and wait a week to get back onto your project. Many
of the non-name brand items are just as good or sometimes maybe even
better but where will you get consumables and where do you have to send
it for repair when it breaks ? For the major brands if your town is big
enough for a McDonalds, there is a repair place in town.

Just remember to play with it once in a while, a plasma cutter is just
a light saber for the metal guy/gal and just as fun as a light saber to
play with.
