I stand corrected. Just went to HF's website and they have changed the
warranty program! Return it to the store for exchange or refund within 90 days
of purchase along with the sales recepit. It has been a while since I last
checked.

I don't see no stinkin "fine print". It's just a single statement in a
yellow box. No fine print. That being said, it sounds like something HF would
do. Their outlets would spend half their time replacing tools.
