Just finished looking over the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix website
(www.pvgp.org) and was pleased to note that there is a whole big pile of
Sprites & Spridgets on the race entry roster. Porsche is the featured
marque and there will also be a bunch of Porsches racing on both PVGP
weekends. This year, with PVGP acting as their own sanctioning body (it had
been VSCCA doing the sanctioning & preventing most Spridgets & 60s-70s Brit
cars from entering), the entry list has grown at LOT in numbers and variety.
Should make for some great racing! Please don't misunderstand me; I have
nothing against VSCCA and am very happy to see that we have a lot of the
VSCCA people returning to race, this year.

The races on 7/23 & 24 at Schenley Park are free to spectators, but, why not
bring your Spridget (or other Brit car) and enter it in the British Car Day
display on the Schenley Park Golf Course, overlooking the race course? It's
always a great, relaxing time visiting fellow Brit car folks, while sipping
a beverage of your choice and watching the racing.

This year, I'll be tied-up much of the time with the Marque of the Year
(Porsche) festivities, but I'm pretty sure our youngest son will be entering
our '72 Midget in British Car Day.

Check out the PVGP website at www.pvgp.org and be prepared to spend a lot of
time looking at some fabulous photos of the cars and the event. I sure do
hope a lot of you on Spridget Talk will be attending, this year.
