We did that in high school, with a 1932 Model A ....while is was driving
down the road. No windshield and the gas tank filler is there in the middle
of the cowl. Yes, it cuts your mouth with each bump. ...1958

Lesson learned?  A dirty gas tank will ruin your ride with no real warning
when the screen clogs and blowing into your tank will let you limp along a
little further...
