If anyone is interested in my father in laws artwork the link is below
all original work and most are $10. each. Gene was an automotive
designer in The Motor City of Detroit all his life until MS took away
the use of his legs for the last 20 years. The paintings for sale have
been painted within the last 4 years while in his wheelchair and
slowly loosing the use of his hands. He painted every day which kept
him alive and with quality of life. I would imagine it would make his
youngest daughter my sister in law and him very happy if there were
more sales as he is slowly loosing his ability to make complete
sentences and morphine is not helping his pain. He had taken a turn
for the worst a week ago and is in the hospital. I suspect if they
stop dialysis he will go rather quickly although the doctors told the
family it could be weeks once stopped. I personally don't believe one
can live one to two weeks without dialysis when in total renal
failure. There is always a chance for a miracle but the odds are not
with him. I had tried to commission him to paint some Sprites but he
has been in and out of the hospital for the last year now. My partner
is out there with him and her family.
I never solicit but being he was one of us, yes he owned Healey's and
many other cool sports cars and he may not live but another week I
thought it couldn't hurt to try and get more of his work sold to cheer
up him and his family. I've been strapped for money myself with my
dear kitty Stitches making her way over the Rainbow Bridge after
months of chemo & surgery but at $10. each for original paintings it
is a pretty good deal. I bought 10 and giving them as gifts, people
love original artwork and Genes story is of triumph and courage.
