I had this problem with a brand new 122S Volvo in 1967. I would just refill
when I though about it, and rebalance the two carbs. They never stayed in
balance. Gave the vehicle a personality ...like people. bill in corvallis

Every time I have had stumbling, it has been because the oil in the dash
pots was low. For some reason, my carbs drink oil, and I must refill them
often. I put in whatever oil is easily at hand, and it always works fine
(or I am too old to notice the difference).
