I am in the process of installing the rear main seal. This Is the after market
type that rides on the crank shaft flange.

The crank flange has a "V" shaped grove in the middle of the flang. This looks
like the seal will make contact on the outer part of the seal will sit on the
edge of the V but the inner edge of the seal will not touch the crank. Do all
1275 cranks have this V?
