You are slightly mistaken. Spridgets do not have Internet connections. This
list is for people who have an interest in Sprites and Midgets, not for the
use of the cars themselves ;-)
It frequently happens that such people also have other interests and
expertise and there is nothing whatsoever wrong with tapping into those.
Likewise, the car in the movie is indeed an Alfa Romeo Spyder and the
success of the movie inspired Alfa to create a model of the Spyder named
for the movie.
