These days people can get their spridget questions answered by the Google.
Back in the glory days of email lists, search engines didn't do a very
good job of finding information about niche topics. Once message boards
exploded on the internet and search engines started indexing them ...
people could get quick answers. This email list survived a bit longer
because the active core were friends. As people have moved onto other
interests or left this earth, there is simply not much need for this list.
I regret that I only discovered the list at the tail end of its golden
era.
