Silicone (DOT 5) WILL NOT MIX with other brake fluids. Perhaps you meant sy=
nthetic (DOT 4) which will mix with Dot 3. =20
Silicone does not trap water like DOT 3 but is harder to bleed as it will tr=
ap air. I have used silicone for about 20 years but only because it does no=
t eat paint the way other brake fluids do. It also has a softer pedal feel t=
han DOT 3 and I assume DOT 4 with which I have no experience.
