I'm a lot confused.  If the 2 botyom bolts fell out , ok 2 less to remove.
The "strap" you mention ?   That confuses me.   What is the strap supposed
to attach to or do?   As long as the 4 trans mount bolts are out , shifter
removed and the speedometer cable detached , and the slave cylinder , the
transmission should slide out dumping a bunch of its lubricant on its way
out.   ( do drain it first!)  You did unbolt the braided ground cable that
attaches to the bottom of the right frame rail and the lower slave cylinder
bolt?  Just asking...ChuckSent from my LG Mobile------ Original

Spridgets net;Cc: Subject:[Spridgets] Removing lump on 74 midgetPlanning on
pulling the lump together. I removed the 2 bolts in either side of the tunnel.
The two bolts that normally come in from the bottom of the car through the
bracket are not there neither is the bracket. However when I look through the
peep hole at the tale end Of the trans I can see a metal strap bolted to the
trans mounting bracket. Does this need to be removed? Itâ??s been 10 years
since I pulled the lump.
