Spridgeteers Racing and Non-Racing - 2023 is turning into abig year for Spr=
ite and Midgets.=C2=A0 Thiswill be the 65th year of the Sprite and deserves=
 some extraattention.=C2=A0 I will be preparing somearticles for Victory La=
ne, who have offered to promote our Race Series.=C2=A0 If anyone would like=
 to prepare an article orwork jointly with me on one, please let me know.=
=C2=A0 This year we will do our traditional 3 racesthrough VSCDA at Gingerm=
an May 5-7, Blackhawk June 16-17, Grattan 11-13 we willadd Waterford Hills =
July 21-23 event to the mix as well.=C2=A0 There are many of us that have r=
aced atWaterford Hills over the years and this is great way to gain some mo=
reattention for SMRS.=C2=A0 Our Easterly VintageRace friends have been busy=
 also and have some exclusive Spridget Races at boththe Pittsburgh Grand Pr=
ix Schenley Park July 22-24 and Pitt Race July14-16.=C2=A0 I have been havi=
ng a discussionwith our PA friend Mark Maehling who has championed these ex=
clusive PA SpridgetRaces.=C2=A0 We have shared some brainstormingon how to =
handle these additional Easterly Races with the hope of pulling otherSpridg=
et racers in that may not be familiar with SMRS.=C2=A0 Some of the brain st=
orming we have beendiscussing is how to compile results, classification of =
cars, etc.=C2=A0 One option would be to create a new Eastern SMRSand mainta=
in our current SMRS and label it Midwestern with the intention of arunoff a=
t Grattan.=C2=A0 SCCA through JasonStine is planning a Spridget Race indepe=
ndent of the Vintage Race at Pitt Race aswell.

We have some money in our treasury, but depending on levelof awards may mea=
n we will not have enough.=C2=A0I am looking for additional sponsors / dona=
tions for SMRS and ormembership fees as an alternative.
