Bill,
My good buddy and fellow Thicko Louie Rohan showed a predominantly Porsche
911 field the fast way around HSR's race at The Glen last weekend with his
very pretty, yet minimally modified red Lotus Elan coupe. After arriving and
seeing the competition, Lou was more than a little uncomfortable about being
one of the very few competitors showing up with an open trailer and a tent
for his and wife Maryann's accomodations for the weekend. But he learned the
track by following the "fast guys" (many of whose cars arrived on
transporters) during practice, and in the race on sunday opened up a 'Big ol
Can o Whupass' and took the checker for an overall win. He is now back home
in Cincinnati recovering from facial stretch marks caused by ear to ear
smiles.
