will keep an eye out.
but from what i know, scca "vintage has been around for 15 years or so,
matter of fact, back when i started into this madness, i was trying to go
that way,
actually got a "vintage " rule book from scca, but every the couple times i
treid to enter a weekend event, theoretically perfectly legal through scca,
i was not allowed to run for the simple reason people didnt know what to do
when i showed up, reguardless of the fact it was perfectly sanctioned for me
to do so. they wouldnt allow me to run with the contemporary cars, because
my car was set to vintage rules. and they wouldnt want me to run alone..i
was stuck, until i went to svra. scca DID allow me to go through drivers
school however, and i was the first driver to have a scca vintage liscense
some 15 years ago, but it was unusable, maybe things have changed. it sure
would be great to be able to hop over to nelson ledges 45 min away, for a
weekend of cheap fun.

Well, nobody needs that. I don't race, but I enjoy working. I just found
out that SCCA doesn't have a speed limit in the pits. And I was a pit
marshal the last time out.

Anyway, the people I have met have been nice. I have only been a member for
a few years. Most of my participation has been in Solo II, and I
rejuvinated the RoadRally program for Philly region. I wanted to work at
some races so I could see what goes on. Tried flagging the first time and
got confused!

I hope the new CEO can bring some changes to the SCCA. He seems like he
really wants to. He is moving the national headquarters from Colorado to
Topeka, KS, which should put the office closer to the majority of it's
members. I guess there are other reasons as well.

As far as wheel to wheel, I don't know how long it will take to change the
attitudes of the drivers who have been SCCA racing for a while. That may be
the biggest challenge.

Try to keep an eye on SCCA vintage racing, which I understand is new. Let
me know what you think.
