Speaking of sharing a room, Peter the Parts Pimp, and Larry "Dr. Fine"
Daniels drove Larry's A60 pick up, took the ferry (note, I said ferry, not
fairy) across the lake, and showed up wearing matching white Tyvek jump
suits with Hopper's "25" and 'Trash" emblazoned across the back, in honor of
the name "White Trash" we bestowed on Ron's car years ago, (much to his
wife's chagrin).

On Sat. AM, Hopper and PPP were as bleary eyed as the Striking Viking and I
were, due to Dr Fine's apparent chain saw snoring.

The Vulture, Gerry Brazil was there, looking fit & trim & happy as a
perverted Scoutmaster could, and was cooking up some meanass Italian sausage
Sat.

Charlie Hall had his Bugeye all purtified and was having fun.

F'n Elmo and his brother won the enduro. Of course that victory shall always
be tainted by the fact that John Donato will claim himself as the cause of
it. Also, John's son, who is 5 years old. (an easily recognizable Donato.
they all have the same cranial development) , spent the bulk of his days
racing up and down our pit lane on a little push scooter. and somehow
memories of Damien, in "the Omen", knocking his mother over the stair
railing came to mind.

All the Triumph guys were in the Village. Tony Drews had a hot time at the
track with the rear of his car sporting flames as some rear end seal failed
and oil ignited.

BDI sponsored the enduro lunch, and Thickos cooked. We fed a lot of folks.
Frances Drews, The Striking Viking, Don Brick, Dr. Fine, and others lent a
hand.

Stan Mason gets the dope of the weekend award for admitting he spent 2
nights sleeping wrapped in his car cover because he forgot his sleeping bag.
Not sure what's worse, doing that, or admitting it.

The Sat. night pool party catering was certainly near the top of any food
we've ever had at the track. Kudos to the caterer.

The Thicktones played Sat. night. Scott "too Hot" Foreman played harp. Other
than his efforts, I'd say we sucked hard. Bill " I don't want to lose my
parking space" Dalton was too tired to play standing up, and Terry "Tutone"
Heffron had a new girlfriend (we like her) and apparently was attempting to
impress her with all the chords he didn't know. Me, my usually suspect voice
has really never comeback from Feb's sinus surgery. maybe never will.

Between the winter of 8 different prescriptions of anti biotics, and
steroids, followed by a few more months of steroids in recovery... along
with a 6 month bout with plantar fasciitis (feels like you're stepping on an
acorn barefoot). well, lets just say that my driver's suit is a little tight
these days. Let's also note that at least 4 fat guy remarks were uttered and
logged for reference by PPP. Remember, I never hold a grudge after I get
even Peter. Oh, and that also applies to you guys that took pictures of me
as I got an hour long nap of the dead Sat. in a lawn chair.

By the time we got all the grilles, the Thicktone PA, the hounds, the
spares, and assorted other shit loaded, we left the track after the last
race session, and arrived home before midnight. I think my hair was the only
body part that didn't hurt.

See ya at ELVF.
