My coolest big 'murican car was a '58 Plymouth Belvedere hard top. It had
the Fury V8 and a stick shift with OD. Jet Black with silver body trim. For
a car of that era, it was beautiful.
That thing went like stink in 2nd and 2nd OD. On the down side, that was the
year Plymouth had a problem with "soft" rings....needed a ring job at 26k. I
traded the car at about 80k and it was needing rings again. I heard via the
grapevine that the engine blew up on the used car dealer on a demo
drive....he was winding it out in second gear..... Guess I new it was time
to trade....
