Rick's comments about what insurance policies really cover
is right on. I would also add that Insurance "Agents" are
not *your* agents but the insurance company's agent! They are
motivated by the company who pays them to get more policies.
They are also obligated to disclose information to the
insurance companies. So, be careful what you say to, and
ask of, the agent. For example, say you get in an accident
and are debating whether or not you are going to report it
to your insurance company because of fear of your rates going
up. If you call the agent to ask advice and to determine
what the impact will be on your policy, it may be too late.
He or she may have to tell the carrier once you tell him.

No offense to anyone out there who is involve in the
insurance industry. But, there is no industry that is
more involved in litigation over the terms of contracts
than the insurance industry. So, you can be darn sure that
each and every word in their insurance contracts are
carefully chosen and tested in court. And, they are not
chosen in your favor.

Unfortunately, the cold hard reality is that no one will
ever think your car is worth as much as you do (well, except
for us). So, go out and enjoy the car now. That's what it's
there for.
