A&L: I had this happen on the 2nd Tiger I owned. I did manage to replace
the stud without pulling the hub. You'll have to pull the brake shoes
and springs out. Knock out the busted stud, and put the new one in by
finding the deepest indent in the backing and placing the new stud in
from the back. The deep indent should give you just enough clearance to
slide the stud into the hole. Use a lug nut to pull the new stud into
place. It worked for me.
