Ya I know the problem. I bought a Sprite new in '63. I always liked
the Frog-eye body better and when the body rusted out I put a
Frog-eye front end on it, then a Frog-eye back clip, the a Capri V-6
and trans. and then a Ford rear end, and then a Lotus style front
susp., then brakes from an MG and then a different interior and new
wheels. I now now longer have my '63 Sprite - it is now a Capri
powered, Frog-eyed Sprite that I call a CAFROGABITE. For the life of
me I can not tell when it stopped being the car that I bought new as
a kid but it is kind of like George W's original hatchet that I
bought - it has only had two new heads and six new handles. I am sure
that niether the Sprite nor the hatchet will pass TIC, TAC, nor TOE.
After all of this I decided that what I had real wanted all along was
a TIGER so I bought one. (B382000221) Now if I can just squeeze a 427
side-oiler in there . . . .
Godspeed
JC
