Why not just momentarily "lose-control" of your car swerving to avoid
the pretty little bunny (ahhhhh!) that jumped out into your path and
run the stupid thing over? Then, charge the "state" for your insurance
bill.
And please, being a long-time shooter, don't use a high-powered rifle
on the damn things. Rifle rounds have a tendency to not spend all
their energy within a target of this type, especially semi-or fully
jacketed rounds. Maybe in Sweden, with a much lower poulation density,
this would be O.K. Plus, we have enough problems with drive-by's and
"gangsta's" here in the U.S.
Imagine shooting one up on a city street, say in Compton or Hunter's
Point. The fire-fights in the Middle-East are tame in comparison to
the return fire you would experience in one of these neighborhoods,
since about 100% of the cars are packing.
Instead, use a shotgun with shot smaller than "00": it has enough
energy to make it through the outside case, enough to trash the
innards of the gadget, but not enough to exit. You can experiment with
the best loads/distance/guage/etc.

In the Uk, all they do to overcome this is to dim the image and the
number comes up pretty clear, you can expect that the local law
enforcement are always really pleased to have to do this and are more
than happy to compliment you on your efforts !!!???!!!???
(BTW. I like the rifle idea)
