Keep the original and try to find more of it. Perhaps you can find
someone who has taken the original out of thier car and you can get
it to use the unworn part under the seat to have yours fixed. A chap
I know does this with his MGA and he has an almost perfect car after
getting the best origianl parts that he can find. It is so nice to
see what the factory used but who wants to see that in a garage
queen.
