This is the way it seems to work.
In California, nothing logical works.
In the Federal structure, they don't care about anything before 1/1/67
unless fraud (intentional desire to cheat someone) is present.
In other states, the laws vary. In the middle Atlantic states, at any
rate, they get really fried if your '63 doesn't have seat-belts, but don't
give a hoot about the ID tags.
I just wish you guys on the Left Coast would quit trying to say that Your
Way Is the Only Way. Other states do it differently and, often, a bit more
kindly.
