I HAD them in both 13X7 (rear) and 13X5.5 (front).

Yup. Lotsa' 240-280's run those in 14's. Remember that Datsun run a 4 on 4.5"
lug pattern, where the Tiger's run a 4 on 4.25." Nothing that a wheel shop
can't fix for you though. They can put in conical seat inserts and in the
process convert to the desired spacing.
