Thanks for the look Steve! Sorry about the back.

Can anyone tell me how to tell the difference between the one speed and =
two speed motors?

Can anyone describe how to wire the 2-speed motor to the switch?

I had a reply indicating that all MK1 cars had 1 speed wipers, Norm says =
in his book that 1 speed units were phased out after ~B9470500s'. That =
would say that some Mk1s (and probably B9471116) should have 2 speed =
units. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Well, Frank,

When I'm bent backwards under that dash, with a poor light, a bad back, =
amd
the burlap dust in eyes, everything looks alike.

You are correct. It's the heater blower (which is why I mentioned heat
from two sources) that has the resistor.

The wipers are two speed windings, comprised of slow and slower.
