To follow up on a discussion thread of a few months back, there is an
excellent article on the danger of dissimilar metals leading to erosion
in an article on Pg 100 of the January issue of Street Rodder. And just
as discussed here on the list, they introduce a new product that supplies
an anode made of magnesium which will be eaten by electrolytic erosion
rather than your hi-buck Aluminum heads or your rare aluminum intake
manifold. The anode is mounted to the radiator cap and submerged in the
radiator liquid. It will be available at the usual auto supply stores
soon. It will have a life span of 18-36 months and cost about $20. the
manufacturer is:

Pacheco, CA 94553
