There is not much to the plate. It is a bear to get to though. You have to
remove
the panel next to the wheel hump and fish it out after bending up the tabs.
If you
drop it it's gone. I have my spare stored some where inside the drivers side
panel.
You could very easly redrill and tap two holes nest to the old ones in the
plate
without replaceing the plate or weld a nut or thicker plate to the back of
the orginal
one.
