Dave,
You pose a very interesting question, and it is one that occurs more
frequently as time marches on.  At Smitty's Sunbeam here in San Diego, there
are currently 2 Tigers that are virtually as bad as the one you described,
with no way either of them can reasonably be saved.  But there are a lot of
good parts there to keep some other Tigers going.  The owners are perplexed,
trying to decide what to do with them.  My advice to both owners was to strip
the cars of the parts, destroy the bodies, and strike the VINs, etc. from the
DMV records.

Just my opinion.
