Dan and Steve. My body man wanted the doors off so that he could paint
in the door jams, especially near the front fender, where it is
impossible to lay a good coat of paint, or clean the door for that
matter.
He put the doors on, without the insides, in 5 minutes. Would probably
take me 5 hours, but he is a body pro.
The rivets, so I am told, can be obtained from Moss Motors, MG I
believe. In a pinch, you can use the screw and nut that holds a license
plates, the thin, wide head type, as the diameter is approximately the
same, and the total length will fit through the hole in the door,
without interference.
