There were four different front quarter/trunk lid badges during production,
according to TBON. The "Alpine 260", "Powered by Ford 260", "260" (after the
Chryco. acquisition, the Powered by Ford had to go) and "V8". I'm not sure of
the timing of changes or markets catered to regarding when one started and
the other stopped. I'm not sure if Norm specifically made that clear in his
great book. I guess I'll just have to take a look at it later...I know my
later series MkIA (B382002273) has the "V8" badging. I guess the next step in
this identification game is to pin point when, where and how often the
Pentastar was attached to the passenger's, front quarter!
