Alan:  Dale A., recently restored my Mk1a and utilized the torque arm setup.
He did away with the pan hard rod with the result of a very nice handling
car, for both Marlene and I, and a very nice appearing undercarriage.  I am
all for the Dale and Dan revamp. Jerry
