I have just recently purchased a Mk1 Tiger (B9470033) and am in the midst of
doing a ground up restoration. Anyway, I have read and heard that there are
no numbers stamped, or otherwise, on the cars to match the VIN tags, making
it difficult to authenticate Tigers.
After removing my upholstery on the seats, I found the original upholstery
underneath. Upon removing this, I found someone had written "33" on the
underside of the pleated section flap of the backrest.
This could be just a fluke. Any thoughts?
