For those of you that have no other source of information, Tigers United
XXIV is scheduled for August 11, 12 & 13 at the Riverside Inn, Grants Pass,
Oregon. This year we are attempting something very slightly different in
that it is being organized and staffed by members of multiple clubs. STOA
is doing the basic organizing and PTC is running the Concours. Frank and
Cindy Cardiff are putting on the rally and the Autocross will be at the
Medford Go-Cart Track where it's been run several times in the past. We
still have no volunteer for chairing that (AX) event, but the track and
equipment are scheduled. Rick (SS) McLeod will be writing the quiz.

To date, we have been unsuccessful in locating a featured speaker, so if
anyone wants the job or knows someone that wants the job, please speak
up. We also have no volunteers for the task of wrestling the Fallehy
Trophy away from Rick and delivering it to a new home.

There is only one minor rule adjustment that is scheduled to be implemented
this year. We are going to allow Tigers in Personalized Class to run up to
15" diameter wheels instead of jumping them straight to Modified. You do
have to get these larger wheels under essentially factory bodywork. As in
years past, your Tiger should be presented in the same form (tires, wheels,
accessories) for all events.

We received notice today that the popular Jet Boat Ride has already been
booked solid for that Saturday date, so that activity is out.

Event information is available on the STOA website:

under the calender of events heading. This site includes a downloadable
registration form for the event. We will be attempting to get a summary
classification guideline on the site this week. If you are not sure of
your correct classification, you may change and or adjust this selection at
the event in Grants Pass.

On the subject of TAC on Wheels, we are scheduled to be at the CAT
Warehouse 11005 Shoemaker Ave. Santa Fe Springs, CA on Sunday, July 30th to
provide Authentication services to those in the So Cal area. We are
requesting an RSVP to Kevin Meek at 408-432-3434 from those that plan to
attend, so that we will know what staff level we will need in
advance. Please give Kevin your name and phone number. I expect to begin
TAC about 9am. The service is free to STOA members and only $10 for non
members.
