Well, I finally have my new Panasport wheels and Pirelli tires on the Tiger
and they look awesome. For fifteen years I have been thinking 'new wheels and
tires next year, this year ...(whatever)'. Now my car oriented friends don't
have to spend ten minutes explaining why my car is cool to their
girlfriends/wives. Thanks to the list (particularly Mike Sutter) I got exactly
the look and performance I was looking for.
For the record, I went with 15x6 22mm offset front wheels with 195/50 Pirelli
P7000 tires and 15x7 20mm rear w/ 205/50 rear. Panasport no longer makes 24mm
offset, which might have been even better on the front, but I haven't been
able to make these rub anywhere yet with 100% stock wheel wells. The ride is
slightly rougher, and the steering slightly heavier but well within my
expectations: it handles great. Fortunately we have had a week of perfect
weather for me to show it off.
