I knew I had read this somewhere in TBON and, sure enough, I found it on
pages 155 and 156.  Steve Laifman is correct; according to TBON, from
serial number B9470001 clear through B382002706, the stock wheels were
painted black and then resprayed a gray-white on the front.  If I remember
correctly, the gray-white that is referred to was the Rootes color
"Moonstone."  I'll leave it to Norm to correct me on that one if I am
wrong.  The Mark II's had a standard steel rim painted silver on both
sides.
