Jim Leach gave you some pretty valid answers.  One skipped over was the
value of the pound. A quick web check on

http://www.x-rates.com

gives the current exchange rate as $1.46500 / British Pound, as of Mon.
Jan 22 20:30:02 2001 GMT, or $17,580 or EURO 18,754. (Oh yes, the site
has a conversion calculator too.).
