    A couple years ago at Seattle International Raceways, a clutch or 
flywheel exploded in a Mercury Comet during a Vintage Race.  The 
scattershield saved the driver, but he lost control of the car and it hit a 
concrete barrier on the straight.  The car was special, as it was originally 
campaigned in the 60s and I believe it raced in the 1964 East African Safari 
as #73.
