I know I'll probably be renounced as a heretic, but I would love to have an
Alpine with a 351W. Sounds like great fun to me. Nobody could really pass
it off as a Tiger, but it would certainly be in the spirit of one.

In case nobody takes you up on your offer, could you send to me the file,
Rich? Or better yet, any of you who have such a conversion, could you send
it to me?

Greetings friends...As I had promised, I had talked to the gentleman who
had dropped a 351 Windsor into a 63 Alpine. The total installation look
quite
clean. Interesting combination of things he came up with to accomplish this
task. No TIGER parts were used.
I asked him to write up an article describing what he did, and if he
could
supply drawings and or photographs that it would be perfect. He has now
done
just that. He sent me a PDF file with the story and pictures in it.
Knowing
that I can't send it out through here, I need one of you fine web site
masters
to take this and post it on Your site...such as STOA, Laifman's spot, Mark
Olson's cablepop site, or who ever has a dedicated Sunbeam site.... Just
let
me know, and I will email you the 1mb+ file..

Once the file is posted for all to see, You will undoubted have some
serious concerns with his, how should I say this..Unique solution for the
steering arm height issue. I believe it deserves further study to come up
with a better solution than he has for the arms...However, Once done,
Someone
COULD turn this into a Kit and sell it to solve the Ackerman problem, and to
a
great degree perhaps the Fulcrum pin problem too.

Just email me directly if you wish to host this file.

Thanks..
