According to TBON, the M1's had "Powered by Ford 260". At or around
B382000901 he reports the emblem was replaced with "Sunbeam V8", and a
Chrysler PentaStar was added to the lower right front quarter panel.

I'm guessing here, but I'll bet that the conversion from 260 to V8 on the
badges was
coincident with the Chrysler takeover. 260 being associated with Ford of
course.
Also at the same time, there appeared a Chrysler pentastar down low in
front of the
driver's door, if memory serves. Anybody know if they're still available?
