Tigers,

Confused by what color the exhaust deposits should be, or what the
colors you have mean, on spark plugs, valves, inside exhaust pipes?

Wonder no longer.

In the continuing efforts to expand the Rootes Factory online "Sunbeam
'260 - 289' Workshop Manual", http://www.TigersUnited.com has just
released Page B-70, Section B (Engine) which shows the varying
conditions and descriptions of exhaust deposits on your Tiger.

And, yes indeed, white powdery deposits can come from "highly leaded
gasoline", whatever that is! It is entirely probably that the new
additives have similar results.

This is an important reference tool, and Page B-69 even shows a special
spark plug removing tool Rootes recommends mechanics and owners use!!

The pathway to this mountain of data can be reached through the left
side Navigation Bar under Factory Manuals, which leads you to the first
pages and the main Manual Table of Contents for all the sections. The
underscored ones are active and take you to the Section Tables of
Contents, which address the subjects covered and also provide hot-links
to them.

On every manual page you can easily turn the pages forward, or
backwards, return to the Section Table of Contents, The Manual Table of
Contents, and there is even a Section Page Table to allow you to go to
the specific page in that section.

On most browsers, the visited pages change from a hot link color to a
"visited page" color, but still an active link. You'll know where you
have been.

This is a tremendous undertaking, and again, thanks to the contributing editors.

Enjoy the education. Learn to navigate.

For the Navigationally Disadvantaged, the page described is accessed by
the following arcane incantation:

This section has only 10 more pages to post to complete the "B - Engine"
section's 82 pages!!!!!
