Wally Swift passed away at 3:30 this afternoon of a heart attack while
attending an autocross. For those of you who may not have known Wally, he was
one of the last ambassadors for the Sunbeam marque. Wally worked for Chrysler
in the 60's with responsibilities for distribution of Sunbeams for the East
Coast. He was an original Tiger owner and had campaigned a prepared Alpine
very successfully well into his 70's.
He was a long time member of Tigers East/Alpines East and was a member of the
Board of Directors, most recently.
He died doing what he loved most. He will be missed. May he rest in peace.
