I purchased parts for my MGC a few years back from a parts supplier (i.e.,
not an individual) without difficulty. The onus of customs issues is on the
sender. You shouldn't have to worry too much, except if the sender wants to
charge you for his trouble.

Does anyone out there in the USA have any experience
purchasing small items, such as Sunbeam parts, out of
England, either from a mail order place or from
individuals? I'm curious what the deal is on Customs,
taxes, etc. Is it practical for individuals, or are
such deals best left to small businesses such as Rick or
Curt?
