Matt,

That is the one thing Rootes did not do. Stamp a
minimum thickness on the rotor. Most
manufacturer's do. and REQUIRE the rotors be
turned with every pad change. Then they get to
sock you for a new rotor on the third pad.
Mercedes Benz insists that the rotors NOT be
turned. That has always been the racer's creed.
The new pads will conform with the old rotor
grooves pretty quick, and then it is total surface
contact.

May squeel a bit at first, but that's just another
noise to let you know things are working.

Hope you get a definitive answer.  I think that if
you park at night, after some heavy use, and can
see your way to the door from the glowing rotors,
it's probably time.  (9-)
