Henry & Tigers,

I have seen and used the Mr. Gasket design successfully in my Holley 
1848-1 four barrel.  This design is the same type that Holley has 
incorporated into it's newer carburetors.

The "Power Valve Shield" appears simpler to install, although I have no 
idea how it is supposed to work (not having seen one).

It would appear logical to assume that Holley would have picked this 
simpler approach if it were more effective, but that is just an assumption.
