Hello All:
If you have the dashboard out, it would be a good idea to do a good cleaning
and lubrication of the windshield wiper motor, wheelboxes and cable. Over the
years, you would be amazed at the crud that can accumulate. In addition, the
old grease, etc. can become stiff and make the motor have to work a lot
harder,
leading to premature (after 35 years, is anything premature?) failure.
Lying on
your back trying to do the job (especially at an advanced age) is not my idea
of fun. Been there, done that (last fall).
