Both my Explorer and my wife's Aerostar have the 4.0L V6 in them, and have their oil filters mounted on right angle adapters. I've never removed either, but they appear to be different dimensionally. They appear to mount to the block on the same "oil filter footprint" that we have in our Tigers. Has anyone ever investigated these as an alternative to the Motorsports adapter? Stu |
