"Broken ear" on engine block

Experts -

I've been offered a vintage 289 block, described below:

"Engine turns but has one ear broke out at bell housing bolt."  

Is this "broken ear" repairable?  Something to avoid like the plague?  

Pick it up? Keep looking? What do you think?
