Steve,

Your problem sounds more electical than fuel supply related.  I would make
sure all of the conncections in the ignition circuit are clean and tight.
That means tracking down all the 1/4 inch spade connectors and shining the
blades up and making sure the female is tight. The circuit starts near the
fuses, goes to the ignition switch then to the ballast resistor then to the
pertronix and coil.  It might even be an intermittent contact in the
ignition switch.
