Hey, that's the way it has ALWAYS been in professional racing. When the
amateur sports car events started to get dealer, then factory
participation (back in the early '50's, here) races were won more in the
protest ring and racing class rules than on the track. BUT, it is still
fun to watch something with YOUR name on it be a winner. Big Time stuff
was commercial when the Benz was racing the Simplex.
