You are NOT going to be told to get some K-Y Jelly, although it couldn't
hurt. (9-)
The little hole through the boot, obtainable in good rubber from Sunbeam
Specialties, has a LOT of stretch in it.
1) First, work it over the shift knob. That's right, it does not have
to be removed - unless you bought a "T" handle type.
2) Then, stretch it over the reverse lockout lever, one ear at a time.
3) Attach chrome (or black, as the case may be) outer ring.
4) Your done!
