Tym,
I installed aftermarket versions of the Porsche 914 seats in my Tiger. They
are the best I have found for efficiently utilizing the limited fore/aft
space in the cockpit. My seats are made by Koenig and are a bit pricey, but
are very well made and have a separate adjustable head rest. The original
914 head rest is not adjustable and sticks up pretty high. The Koenigs also
have more lateral support than the original - just enough to do the job
without restricting ingress/egress. I have attached some photos I found on
the Web of stock 914 seats; you can see how thin they are, so if you are on
the tall side (>5'9") this becomes an important advantage. I can take
pictures of my seats if you are interested.
